PACT held its annual Retreat on Sunday, September 15, 2013, where 35 PACT teens and adults gathered to listen and learn from one another and make plans for PACT activities for 2013-2014.

SBHS Key Club members recently hosted guest speaker Jodie Clarke of the Northeastern Family Institute to talk about Vermont's foster care system.
After watching Ask Us Who We Are, Bess O'Brien's documentary about youth and families in Vermont's foster care system, at Dialogue Night 2012, PACT teen leaders approached the Key Club about partnering for The Duffle Bag Project. The Key Club generously responded immediately.
The Duffle Bag Project will run from now until Friday, June 8. Community members are invited to drop off new and gently used duffle bags in the main office at South Burlington High School. Sports-type duffle bags are ideal, but others are welcomed. For more information, please call 802.660.3189.
PACT held its annual retreat on September 10, 2011, at the beautiful All Souls Interfaith Gathering in Shelburne, where 17 PACTeens from South Burlington High School and 13 adults gathered to engage in open and respectful dialogue on communication strategies and activities for PACT in this upcoming year that will support its vision to build and sustain a community of respect, compassion, and equality. PACT offers most sincere thanks to all participants; to Principal Patrick Burke for his message of inspiration; and to the South Burlington School District Prevention Funds for support.

PACT held its winter retreat January 9, 2011, where Hal Colston, newly appointed Executive Director of the Vermont Commission on National and Community Service, offered a message of inspiration, inviting the teens and adults in attendance to “consider your own moral compass, develop your code of ethics, and stay true to both.”
Nora Rogers, Commissioner of Education Armando Vilaseca, and Heather Slattery met on November 24, 2009.
Bianca Rizzio, Vermont Department of Education Safe Schools Coordinator Charles Johnson, and Connor DeVarney took part in Restorative Practices training on November 13, 2009.
